Ornamental Freehand Tattoo on the Side, Hip and Legs

This large-scale project, entirely done freehand, was developed for a client seeking an ornamental tattoo that would flow and intertwine harmoniously with her body’s silhouette without covering her entire body. She wanted something that would elegantly and femininely highlight her ribs, hips, and legs.

The first session was essentially just sketching, all freehand, done in collaboration with the client. From the second session onward, the lines were drawn and filled in with solid black, without using grays or shading. The technique simply involved playing with negative space to create a harmonious design, alternating between bolder and more rounded lines. The result is a highly refined and stylish piece that perfectly suits a woman’s body—a tattoo that breathes, solid yet delicate.
