Neotraditional Tiger Tattoo on the Neck

This is a striking tattoo not only because of the area but also because of its high-quality execution. The head of a roaring tiger is strategically placed symmetrically in the center of the neck to follow the shape and accentuate its visual power, outlined by the wings of a butterfly that cover the sides of the neck.

The style, with its solid lines and very intense colors, such as red, orange, and green, evokes the Japanese “irezumi” style, as does the tiger, which is one of the animals that most symbolizes Eastern culture.

This type of project, being so large and detailed, is normally completed in two sessions, but since the client was traveling from far away and didn’t have much time, it was completed in a single, large session of almost 10 hours.
