Hellmouth Backpiece

A Hellmouth is a symbolic monster found in many Christian works, especially medieval texts referring to Hell or similar purgatories. Envisioned as a gigantic monster with a gaping mouth, it was believed this mouth was the entrance to the spiritual plane of suffering and death. To accentuate this symbology, we placed an Angel of Death inside the mouth as to show certain souls that their time is up, and they are destined to an eternity of damnation. The Hellmouth works almost as a frame for the Angel of Death that resides in the middle as the centerpiece. Executed with a strong contrast and bold lines, guaranteeing a strong look which will last a lifetime!
