Realistic Roller-Skate Tattoo on the Thigh

This piece was created for a client passionate about roller-skating who wanted to carry this passion as an indelible mark on her skin.

She wanted to capture every detail of her roller-skate, a classic four-wheel skate, so a photo was chosen where every element of the skate could be captured, from the rough texture of the leather to the metallic sheen of the trucks and bolts. The roller-skate appears like a tangible object resting on the skin thanks to this shading with different shades of gray. Each wheel, with this very soft shading, creates the illusion of movement.

The number and the word “Skates” printed on the boot give it an almost iconic character, as if it were a trophy steeped in a profound history. The choice of location, the thigh, also highlights the piece as a personal emblem, almost as if the wearer always carries that object with them.
